Kenyan men again ruled another world class marathon, when the little known Raymond Kipkoech beat world silver medallist colleague, Simon Biwott in an unofficial 2hr 06min 47sec, the ninth fastest in history. Biwott clocked 2.06.49, with another unknown Kenyan, Vincent Kipsos in third in 2.06.53.
