The AVON RUNNING Women's Run 2003 is Soaring

There are still well more than three months until the AVON RUNNING 20th Berlin Womens Run organised by SCC-RUNNING on May 24, 2003 - which makes the large number of registrations for Germanys largest womens race even more surprising.At the same time last year there were 92 registrations; today the 1,000 mark has been broken and there are already 1,012 women and girls registered to participate.
The anniversary event in the Tiergarten Park in Berlin is becoming more and more attractive. Last year, 9,426 women participated from 28 countries. This year over 11,000 women and girls are expected to join in the 5 km FUN RUN/Walk and 10 km run/walk through the park.
The main sponsor, AVON, and SCC-RUNNING have found strong new partners with adidas and KarstadtSport, whose own advertising activity and presentations are increasing the resonance and attractiveness of the womens run.
The run is also making waves internationally: the energy company Vattenfall (SWE) will be participating with 200 employees from Sweden, Finland, Poland, and Germany. Fun and convenience work well together to draw participants - the sporting event on one hand, and the cultural metropolis of Berlin on the other.
