Marathon Lists of Results are on their Way...
information about the 31st real,- BERLIN MARATHON
2003-12-05The lists of results and certificates are on their way to the participants of the 30th real.- BERLIN MARATHON 2003. 48,424 athletes (38,493 runners, 9,612 inline skaters, 193 power walkers and 126 wheelchair racers) from 99 countries will soon be receiving the 68-page list of results and their certificates by mail, with all of their intermediate times and ranking (also for the various age groups), as well as their average speed. As a service from SCC RUNNING, even the “non-finishers and non-starters“ will receive the booklet commemorating the anniversary marathon 2003.
Compared to last year, this years list of results has been “thinned down“ considerably. The brochure only includes a small part with the results with names and times, and instead has lots of race reports with photos, statistics, table of victors, and overviews of the diverse age group results, and much more.
The complete list of results can be requested by simply sending us a letter. This change reflects the wishes of numerous participants over the past few years. Whereas last year the list of results was 220 pages long --meaning 14 tons that had to be shipped out--this years list does not include all of the names and times. The participants were able to receive their results and preliminary certificate with all of their intermediate times via the internet on the day of the event--or have them sent by SMS.
In order to whet your appetite for the next MARATHON in Berlin, included with the list of results is, of course, information about the 31st real,- BERLIN MARATHON on September 25-26, 2004 and the 24th Bewag BERLIN HALF MARATHON on April 4, 2004.
