Prokopcuka and Joseph claim Bupa Great Edinburgh run title

Jelena Prokopcuka after easily defending her BUPA Great Edinburgh Run title, admitted running the Boston marathon less than three weeks earlier, had taken a toll in the closing stages. The 29-year-old Latvian star who was runner-up in the world class USA event, was always confident despite her exertions there, she could return to Edinburgh and score another success. Prokopcuka as she did last May, took control of the 10 kilometres race, at the halfway point, her renowned strength on the steep hills
