The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON is more than just a 42.195 kilometer race! In the days leading up to the start, our participants can already look forward to great program items. This year's special highlight will be the MOVE, which will take place directly at the Brandenburg Gate on September 17 and will invite to visit exhibitions, linger and enjoy numerous sports and cultural events. In addition, there are many other classics in the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON supporting program, which you can find here.
Hall of Fame & Wall of Fame
Have you always wanted to stand next to a world record holder? In the Hall of Fame, you have the opportunity to get up close to the heroes of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. Stand next to the life-size marathon legends - the Hall of Fame is the perfect photo spot. A must for selfies! And you can search for your name on the Wall of Fame - all participants are listed here. This year you can find both at the MARATHON EXPO.
Literature Marathon
The 35th Literature Marathon is all about the 50th BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. This time, the literary theme is all about the birthday marathon. The texts are set on the course and deal with personalities who have shaped the BERLIN-MARATHON. Among other things, sports historian Gerd Steins will present an anthology on the development of the running event. Berlin journalist and author Hajo Schumacher - also known as “Achim Achilles” - is also expected to attend. He will be presenting his new crime novel “Nur der Tod ist schneller. Laufende Ermittlungen”, which he wrote together with Michael Meisheit: Main character Peer Pedes is meticulously preparing for the Berlin Marathon. After all, his fitness is required to successfully complete the ongoing investigation at the end of the 42.195 km.
