"Meet the Stars" - friday 6:30 pm Hall of Fame
The top contenders of the 2018 BMW BERLIN-MARATHON are introduced to the public at the Hall of Fame, located at Brandenburg Gate/western side: Eliud Kipchoge, Wilson Kipsang, Zersenay Tadese, Tirunesh Dibaba, Gladys Cherono and Edna Kiplagat. Also on stage will be Ronaldo Da Costa, Berlin winner of 1998, breaking the world record back then. In addition, there will also be a Gate of Fame with the names of all participants listed (Jubilees and Six Star finishers highlighted).

Hall of Fame
In the Hall of Fame, we honor the BERLIN MARATHON champions of the past years. This year the two winners of the first BERLIN MARATHON in 1974, Jutta von Haase and Günter Hallas and the winner in 1998, Ronaldo da Costa, who set a world record then, will be honored.

After Race Party
You are still fit and in party mood? The party is the best opportunity for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON Community and their friends to celebrate and indulge in a successful raceday. The best athletes are to be presented and join the celebrations. A party voucher for free entry is included in every starting package. Tickets for friends and family can be purchased on-site (6 Euro).

Every participant of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON who reaches the finish line, has won a 42,195 k battle. Let us honour those who took the least time fighting and reward them for their exceptional performance.

Ecumenical Evening Prayer for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church

We shall be worshipping God in the company of many runners.
Before the start – and in the midst of life. Find peace, sing, and pray, join with others and bring joy to the starting line.
The sermon will be held by the Rev. Dr. Lars Charbonnier - active marathon runner. Father Maximilian Wagner ofm as Catholic partner and the Rev. Katharina Stifel will be officiating at the ecumenical evening prayer, accompanied by music from Jonas Sandmeier.
The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is on Breitscheidplatz in Berlin-Charlottenburg, near the U-Bahn and S-Bahn station Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten.

There will be an organised group warm up to music between 8:30 and 8:50 a.m. (block H). Stretching and loosening up will help you to reach your race temperature and prevent injuries.
