The highlights of the supporting program

We are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON with a unique festival, which will feature countless highlights and unique program items in the run-up to the race. The history of this special race is the perfect way to get in the mood.

Opening Ceremony

Marathon legends, exceptional athletes, pioneers - we will kick off the anniversary weekend with a grand opening ceremony at the Brandenburg Gate. With an unforgettable stage programme, live bands and international stars. We will celebrate half a century of the marathon in Berlin with all its emotional highlights.

Literature Marathon

Fun running stories, interesting running experiences. At the Literature Marathon, well-known running authors will read from their works. A real cult event!

MARATHON EXPO

Race number pickup, 190 exhibitors, sporting goods at great expo prices. The MARATHON EXPO on the grounds of the former Tempelhof Airport is free of charge and worth the trip!

Hall of Fame

Life-sized legends. Super photo ops including the Gate of Fame and the names of all participants. The Hall of Fame is a must for selfies, with a shopping paradise for all runners with the official adidas BMW BERLIN MARATHON jubilee collection and a wide range of merchandise inside.

MOVE

At the Brandenburg Gate, the symbol of German reunification, the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON and its fascinating history can already be experienced in the days leading up to the race: with the MOVE, we are creating a meeting place, a space to linger and enjoy. With an exhibition, catering and a wide range of sporting and cultural activities. Let us surprise you!

Ecumenical Marathon Prayer

We cordially invite all runners to join us at the ecumenical marathon prayer organised for the BMW BERLIN MARATHON in the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church at Breitscheidplatz.

Award Ceremony

Every participant of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON who crosses the finish line, has won a 42,195 k battle. Let us honour those who took the time fighting and reward them for their exceptional performance.

Post-race Party

After the BMW BERLIN MARATHON you can celebrate at the post-race party! Celebrate with the champions of the fastest marathon in the world

Anniversary Merchandising

Anniversary-Buddy Bear

The Berlin Buddy Bear is celebrating its marathon premiere especially for the anniversary! The 22 cm tall figure is designed by hand and shows the many highlights of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON over the last 50 years in a unique way. You can personalize the bib number on the bear's belly with your name and/or start number using a pen - a unique and individual souvenir.
Make sure you get your exclusive anniversary Buddy Bear, as the edition is limited.

The Buddy Bear is available for 79,50€ via your user account (for participants) and at the MARATHON EXPO (if not sold out beforehand).
