Crocodile Princess Jazz

Crocodile Princess was founded in the early 1990s as a big band for the music school Musikschule Steglitz-Zehlendorf. In 2007, and internationally renowned jazz musician, Dietrich Koch, joined them, who came with years of experience in well-respected big bands and now provides important impulses to the band as their director, composer, arranger, and saxophonist. They premiered at the BERLIN MARATHON in 2008. They play at jazz fests and street festivals throughout Berlin and surroundings, as well as at company events. They practice every Monday evening in Tempelhof.

Dietrich Koch: “In 2010 many of the bands could not play due to the heavy rain. We had arranged a large 8m x 4m tent at the last minute, so the weather didn’t matter. The runners seemed to be especially grateful for the music that year.”
