Is there a meeting point for families and friends?
You are able to meet up with your family and friends after the race in the family reunion area in front of the Paul-Löbe-Haus at the sign with the first letter of your last name.
Is it possible to cross the course?
It is possible to cross the course but please take account of the runners. Crossing the Marathon cours is only possible in the finsish area at the Pariser Platz. Please follow the instructions of the helpers.
Will there be seats for the spectators in the finish area?
There will be stands on both sites right before the finish.This stands are for free. Your families and friends can watch you finishing live or on a big screen.

The new spectator tours at the BMW BERLIN MARATHON
The districts and neighborhoods along the route are all different and each has its own special charm. You can also sense this when you are watching along the course, and the diverse areas of Berlin add to the appeal of the classic running event. For the first time, we are offering six new spectator tours, which provide a great way to support your friends on the course all the way to the finish and the easiest way to jump from one spot along the course to another. Here you find all route maps and short descriptions with tips and highlights. Whether you choose “Kreuzberger nights are long”, the “Kiezbummler tour” (“Neighborhood Drifter Tour”) or “Fine people & fast top athletes”, there is a marathon tour that is perfect for you!

Walk and Public Transportation
Watch the first wave of the runners start (9:15 am), walk to the Swiss Embassy (km 6,9) – watch and cheer at the big runners field – walk to the Hauptbahnhof, take the train to Alexanderplatz – walk to Berlins widest boulevard Karl-Marx-Allee (km 11,2) – back to Alexanderplatz, take the U8 to Moritzplatz (km 14) - U7/8 to Gneisenaustraße (km 19) – U7 Eisenacherstraße (km 22) – U7/3 Breitenbachplatz (km 27) – U3 Fehrbelliner Platz (km 37) – U3 Wittenbergplatz (km 36) – U2 Potsdamer Platz (38,5 km) – walk to the Finish-Line-Village and cheer on the last runners.

Public Transportation or Bike
Sleep in or come straight from the Night Club, 10:30am to the Kotti, Kottbusser Tor/km15 – leading group will be here at 10:00am – get a drink at a “Späti” or have Falafel/Schawarma for a breaki – take a relaxed ride to Kurfürstenstraße (U1) – go 100m back to the Hot Spot Bülowstraße/Potsdamer Straße (km37) – party with the running crews – take the train (U2) to the Hot Spot Potsdamer Platz (km38,5) – walk to the grandstand at the finish line and cheer on the marathon heroes until the party is over.

Watch the start (first start: 8:50 am: Handbikers) – slowy walk with the 2nd wave of the runners (start: 9:35 am) via Victorys Column to the Hansaplatz (U9) – take the train to Zoologischer Garten – walk to the Kurfürstendamm – watch and adore the top athletes men (10:50 am) / women (11:05 – walk to the BMW Hot Spot – take the U1 Uhlandstraße to U Nollendorfplatz – stop and celebrate at the adidas Runners Hot Spot – walk to the running crews Hot Spot at Blülowstrasse/Potsdamer Strasse – take the U2 to Potsdamer Platz and motivate the runners for their last 3 kms – walk to the Brandenburg Gate and the grandstand at the finish.

You want to support a couple of friends who run with different speed? – Then watch the starts until the 3rd wave of the runners (10:00 am) – walk to the Swiss Embassy (6.9 km) – walk to the Hauptbahnhof and take the train to Yorkstraße – walk under the Yorkbridges to the half marathon point, enjoy the special something about Kreuzberg and cheer on your friends – walk to the Hot Spot Bülowstrasse/Potsdamer Strasse (km 37) and party with the running crews – take the train to Potsdamer Platz and walk to the Brandenburg Gate to wait for all your friends coming into the finish.

Walk
Watch the various starts until the 2nd wave of the runners (9:35am) – walk through the Tiergarten to Potsdamer Platz – watch the first handbikers and wheelchair drivers (9:50am) and the top runners (11:00 am) – walk to the finish to watch the fastest men (approx. 11:17am) and women (approx. 11:33am) cross the line – stroll along Unter den Linden and Französische Strasse to the Gendarmenmarkt – sit in a cozy Café and have a cappuccino or a glas of champagne and applaud the runners.

on the bike

Watch the starts – cycle via Victorys Column to Alt-Moabit/Turmstrasse (km 4,8) – cheer at the runners at Torstrasse (from km 8,2) and listen to the many Jazz Bands – go to Moritzplatz (km 14) – Sambaband at the Mehringdamm (km 19) – Rathaus Schöneberg (km 23) – cycle up to the Kudamm, go to Nollendorfplatz (km 36,5) and cheer on the marathon heroes with the Adidas Runners – go on to Bülowstrasse/ Potsdamer Strasse and party with the running crews – cycle to the Potsdamer Platz (km 38,2) via Gleisdreick-Park – go on to the Finish-Line-Village and support the last runners.
