- Recently, BMW BERLIN-MARATHON organizer SCC EVENTS announced the participation of marathon world record holder Sabastian Sawe at this year’s BMW BERLIN-MARATHON on September 27, 2026. In the coming weeks, SCC EVENTS will announce additional top athletes who will also compete in the German capital.
- This year's BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, organized by SCC EVENTS, will take place on September 27. Around 60,000 athletes from approximately 160 countries are expected to participate in the German capital, including runners, wheelchair competitors, handbikers and inline skaters.
- With 97 out of a possible 120 points, the BMW BERLIN MARATHON has achieved Gold Level under the international sustainability standard “Athletics for a Better World” set by World Athletics, the global governing body for athletics. This represents an improvement on last year’s Silver status and sends a clear signal that SCC EVENTS’ commitment extends far beyond the finish line.
