For more than ten years, SCC EVENTS GmbH has hosted the Sports Community Convention twice a year: in the spring as part of the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON and in the fall as part of the BMW BERLIN MARATHON.

The trade fairs with over 60 and 100 exhibitors (spring/fall) are an integral part of our annual calendar of events and are also a popular meeting point for runners, sponsors and up to 100,000 visitors and sports enthusiasts.

General information for visitors

Bag size restrictions

Allowed bag size: max. 55 x 40 x 25 cm (default size of airplane hand luggage).

Larger bags are not allowed on the expo grounds. They can be deposited at the baggage deposit for a fee.

Catering

Enjoy a wide variety of food options, including meat, vegetarian, and vegan dishes. We also offer special carb-loading menus for runners.

Please note our reusable tableware policy: After your meal, simply return your plates and cutlery to the drop-off stations—together, we can reduce waste and be more environmentally friendly.

Massages

Massages can be booked for 20 € per 15 minutes in Hangar 7 The booking is possible via the SCC EVENTS user account and can be made until the start of the EXPO. Alternatively, it is possible to book an appointment directly on site - but only if there are still places available.

A safe and discrimination-free environment is our top priority. At the MARATHON EXPO by BRITA, an awareness team will be on site, identifiable by pink vests, to provide support in case of incidents, mediate, and, if necessary, accompany individuals to a safe retreat area. The team can also be reached at any time via the security staff through their walkie-talkies.

As part of the EXPO the following items are not permitted for security reasons:

  • Bags and luggage larger than 55x40x25cm
  • Non-drinkable liquids in containers >100ml
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Weapons of any kind such as knives, scissors, hammers, baseball bats, golf clubs, etc.
  • Other dangerous objects with dual use
  • Flammable liquids and fuels
  • Fireworks and other pyrotechnic items, explosives
  • Aerosol cans, gas spray bottles
  • Corrosive and coloring substances, pressurized containers, flammable and harmful gases
  • Objects and substances of any kind subject to registration
  • Containers made of fragile and/or splintering material
  • Poles, flagpoles, tripods etc.
  • Sleeping bags
  • Large blankets
  • Costumes that cover the face
  • Animals (excl. assistance animals with proof)
  • Narcotics
  • Drones and other remote-controlled missiles
  • Laser pointers and electronic transmitters
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards
  • Inline skates
  • Mechanically and electrically operated noise instruments
  • Racist, xenophobic and/or radical propaganda material

Luggage storage is available at the main entrance for a fee.

Arrival and departure

Event ticket by Deutsche Bahn

You can book an event ticket for your train travel to and from the event.

A City Ticket for Berlin is automatically included in the event ticket if the distance traveled is more than 100 km. More information about the City Ticket.

4-day ticket for public transport

Participation in the BMW BERLIN MARATHON and the BMW BERLIN MARATHON Inline Skating includes a 4-day ticket for public transportation in fare zones A, B, and C. This ticket is valid from September 24 (12:00 a.m.) to September 28 (03:00 a.m.). You will receive further information about the 4-day ticket by email together with your start pass at the beginning of September.

The 4-day ticket is only valid for participants. It cannot be transferred to other persons.

Connections to the EXPO

Since there is no parking available at the event venue, we recommend that you use public transportation.

Subway: Line U6 to “U-Bhf Platz der Luftbrücke”. Following that, an approximately 10-minute walk.

Bus: Bus line M43 to Columbiadamm / Platz der Luftbrücke or bus line 248 to “U Platz der Luftbrücke”. Following that, an approximately 10-minute walk.

Accessible Access

The “Platz der Luftbrücke” subway station is accessible.

If you are arriving by car, please follow the signs to GAT on Werner Loebermann Weg. Parking spaces are reserved for you there. You must present an official parking permit.

Elevators are available inside the Expo. Important: Only wheelchairs fit in the elevators; hand bikes do not.

After you have received your participation wristband, you will receive your race packet at the “Inclusion” counter in Hangar 5.
