- On the Thursday following the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, a group from the organizer SCC EVENTS came together to get active around the start and finish area once more – this time not for work, but for the environment. In what is known as “plogging,” they combined running with collecting litter, ensuring that even the very last bits of waste were removed after the event.

- Sabastian Sawe won the BMW BERLIN MARATHON with a world leading time of 2:02:16. Despite very warm conditions with temperatures up to 25 Celsius during the final part of the race the Kenyan clocked the ninth fastest time ever and a „Warm weather world record“ which is of course not an official mark. No-one has run such a fast time in so warm conditions.

More than 50 vehicles and around 15 scooters of the C evolution class are part of the fleet of support vehicles provided by BMW for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. In addition to the iX as a safety car, the latest i-models from the car manufacturer are also in use as shuttle and organization vehicles. With this commitment, BMW supports the sustainable development of modern technology and the sport of running.
