- Organiser SCC EVENTS is expecting well over 56,000 athletes from more than 160 nations for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON from 26–27 September. - Defending Champion and World Record Holder Sabastian Sawe has withdrawn from the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON on 27 September due to injury. The event remains packed with top-class athletes and promises to deliver an exceptional race, particularly in the women’s field.
- As announced by SCC EVENTS—the organizer of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON—in mid-May, world record holder Sabastian Sawe will take to the start line in Berlin on 27 September. In mid-June, SCC EVENTS also unveiled a star-studded women's field featuring world record holder Tigst Assefa, Rosemary Wanjiru, and Germany’s Esther Pfeiffer.
- The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON challenges both body and mind over the full 42.195-kilometre distance. Proper hydration plays a crucial role during a marathon—not only for performance, but also for overall well-being and health throughout the race.
