BMW BERLIN-MARATHON Focuses on Elite Sport and Sustainability: New Partnerships for the Future

Recently, BMW BERLIN-MARATHON organizer SCC EVENTS announced the participation of marathon world record holder Sabastian Sawe at this year’s BMW BERLIN-MARATHON on September 27, 2026. In the press release dated May 13, 2026, Sawe commented as follows: “After my victory in London and my performance under two hours, I can only say that I will prepare myself as well as possible, as always, come to Berlin to honor this great event and organization that invited me, and aim to run as well and as fast as possible.” In the coming weeks, SCC EVENTS will announce additional top athletes who will also compete in the German capital.
Schneider Electric: Official Sustainability Partner and Partner of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON
Not only does Germany’s largest marathon impress on a sporting level — it continues to attract strong economic interest as a major event. Schneider Electric will become the “Official Sustainability Partner” and partner of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. Schneider Electric is a global leader in energy technology that drives efficiency and climate protection through the electrification, automation, and digitalization of industry, businesses, and buildings. The partnership will focus on sustainability consulting provided by SE Advisory Services, Schneider Electric’s global consulting division.

BRITA: Co-Sponsor of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON and Presenting Partner of the MARATHON EXPO
From 2026 onward, BRITA will become a multi-year co-sponsor of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON as well as the presenting partner of the MARATHON EXPO by BRITA. As a hydration partner, BRITA makes a significant contribution to the event’s more resource-efficient development — with refill stations along the course and free filtered water at the EXPO, reducing the number of cups distributed to athletes. In this way, BRITA makes sustainable hydration a fixed part of the Berlin running experience.
