When most people think of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, they first think of the big run on Sunday – but already the day before, a sporting highlight takes place that is just as impressive: the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON Inlineskating.

To mark the 40th edition of the VITAMIN WELL Women’s Run Berlin, we previously introduced you to some of the pioneering women who laid the foundation for the women’s running movement. Today, we’d like to present more remarkable personalities who have shaped and advanced the women’s running scene over the years.

Running – for women, it wasn't always a given. As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the VITAMIN WELL Women’s Race Berlin on May 17, we look back on this journey and honor the courage and endurance of the women who paved the way. Here, we introduce you to some of these inspiring pioneers.

The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON is an event that brings together athletes from all over the world - and there are always some extraordinary stories among the participants. One of these stories belongs to Niels Struckmeyer and his son Milan Pantel. Both are not only passionate runners, but also have a special father-son relationship, which they want to share for the first time this year on the course of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON.
