News Archive OSullivan outsprints Adere while Tergat is heavily defeated by Mottram in Manchester 10 k

Irelands Sonia OSullivan proved she still posseses a powerful sprint finish as

she outkicked World 10,000m champion Berhane Adere of Ethiopia to win

yesterday’s Great Manchester 10k (23 May) in the English City which

hosted the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

Training partner Craig Mottram of Australia took the mens race, in which

World Marathon record holder Paul Tergat finished in fourth.
